

Prelude - Run - Part I Lohan ran through the silent streets of Tarnis as carefully as possible, trying not to disturb the bundles in his arms. He looked up at the full moon, and its light sent his features into sharp relief. His face would be pleasant to look at, had he slept at all in the past four days. As it was now, his narrow, angled face was dirty with bruises and dirt caked by sweat. Wrinkles that had not been there just a week ago had sprouted on his forehead alongside a gash that was slowly healing. He had dark circles beneath his pale blue eyes. Yes. Lots of noise. A gunshot fired in the distance. The woman did not flinch. She did not even turn around to look for the one who had just ended another's life. It didn't matter to her anymore.
